Arzu Newsletter - Issue 2 – February 2008

Hello and welcome to Arzu’s February edition of “Desired Beauty”. I trust you enjoyed your Christmas and are relaxed and ready for 2008.

Thank you for supporting our effort to reduce landfill. The introduction of the Mineral Foundation refills for $45 has been a huge success with many containers being recycled. We hope to implement more environmental initiatives over time. All over skin protection is vitally important, so Arzu is launching a 30+ UVA / UVB sunscreen in February 2008 made from natural plant and herb extracts.

The sunscreen is suitable for the face, toddlers, sensitive skin and all over body protection. It rubs in completely leaving the skin moisturised with no greasy feel and is water resistant for up to two hours. With Arzu’s subtle natural scented sunscreen you will be able to attend that special occasion where you are exposed to the sun without smelling like sunscreen.

Many people do not understand why we require sunscreen to have both a UVA and a UVB rating. Sunscreens are credited with helping to prevent sunburn, skin aging and skin cancer by absorbing and reflecting UV radiation.  UV rays of longer wavelength (UVA) are less likely to cause sunburn than those of shorter wavelength (UVB). However, UVA rays are more likely to produce the free radical species that damage DNA, possibly leading to cancer. Remember that all sunscreens need to be applied fifteen to twenty minutes before exposure to the sun to allow the skin to have time to absorb the sunscreen and reflect the sun rays. Always remember to re-apply.

With the holiday season disappearing into the sunset and the kids back at school we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Now it is time for you to reward and pamper yourself. Invite a few friends around, sit back, relax and enjoy some time with the Arzu range of products.
